What is your degree and graduation year?

I graduated in Spring 2021 with a BA in International Affairs.

What have you been up to since you graduated?

Exactly one week after graduation, I picked up the keys to my new home in Providence, RI with my now husband (another FSU alum). In a few weeks, I start grad school with the University of Central Florida for a masters in emergency and crisis management. 

How did your degree in social science help inform your path?

I wouldn’t have taken a class with Dr. Janet Dilling without the COSSPP. I actually took three classes with her and she wrote a wonderful recommendation letter that helped get me into UCF. It was through her class that I realized how much I enjoyed emergency management and that I wanted to pursue it as a career.

What is your favorite memory or spot on campus?

My favorite memory is most definitely the night I met my husband! We were both international affairs majors and hit it off immediately! Second to that would have to be graduation. After a senior year full of online classes and COVID restrictions, being able to walk across a stage and wave at family was the closure I needed for my time at FSU. Actually, both of my little brothers should be attending FSU soon so I know I’ll be back!
