Why did you decide to go to graduate school?
Through undergraduate econometrics classes and internships, I became interested in research. After graduating, I worked as a research analyst; however, I wanted the ability to set my research agenda, pursuing projects of importance to me. Thus, I decided to pursue my doctorate.
Did your interests change throughout your program?
My interests have changed immensely! I love learning and continue to find topics in which I am interested, making it challenging to set my research agenda.
What do you want to do with your advanced degree?
My dream job is a tenure-track position at a research university. I am attracted to the prospect of contributing to existing knowledge and the freedom to choose the questions I want to be addressed.
