Graduate Student Spotlight: Weifang Xu from the Department of Political Science

What department are you a graduate student in? 

Political Science.

Why did you decide to go to graduate school?

I chose FSU because it has a good reputation in methods and experimental design. I am also happy to be close to Disney World and Universal Studios!

Did your interests change throughout your program?

No. I have always been interested in studying international relations. More specifically, I have always been interested in foreign policy in China, cross-strait relations, and U.S. public diplomacy.

What do you want to do with your advanced degree?

I would like to get a job in academia!

Weifang Xu is a Ph.D. Candidate in the FSU Department of Political Science. His research interests include international relations, with a focus on foreign policy.
