Why did you decide to go to graduate school?

I want to better understand political phenomena and hopefully contribute to our knowledge of politics.

Did your interests change throughout your program?

My interests changed as our program helped me to identify how my specific research questions engage with larger bodies of literature.

What do you want to do with your advanced degree?

I hope to work in the academia either in the US or abroad, including my home country.

Martin Gandur is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science. His research interests include Comparative judicial institutions, separation of powers, and Latin American politics. You can learn more about Martin here.
