What have you been up to since you graduated? (Applying to/attending graduate school, working a job, etc.)
I graduated with a B.S. in Economics in Spring 2021. Since graduation, I have been enrolled in post-baccalaureate computer science courses at FSU while working through the job application process. I recently accepted a position as an analyst at Deloitte and I will be moving to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area in January to begin my career!
How did your degree in social science help inform your path?
My degree in economics provided the foundations necessary to better understand how the world works. Now when I read about phenomena like changing interest rates, new legislation, or market trends, I can properly consider their implications. My degree also honed my ability to think critically and strategically. As I begin my work in professional problem-solving, the education that the College of Social Sciences provided will prove invaluable.
What is your favorite memory or spot on campus?
I promise I’m not pandering to the social science folks here, but my favorite spot on campus is probably Bellamy. I will dearly miss it. I spent countless hours there in class, studying, or attending meetings and events for student organizations. Even just the smell of Bellamy is nostalgic. (Is that weird to say? Probably.)
