What have you been up to since you graduated? (Applying to/attending graduate school, working a job, etc.)
Since I graduated with my BS in International Affairs & Political Science in three years, I am currently in graduate school finishing off my “senior” year. I’m in the Masters in Applied American Politics and Policy (MAAPP) program! In addition, I am currently applying to law schools this admissions cycle. I’m planning on completing the MAAPP Program in the Summer of 2022 and beginning law school in the fall. Furthermore, I am currently interning at a lobbying firm in Tallahassee and love the experience of working with our clients and elected officials in the Capitol to help make positive changes in Florida!
How did your degree in social science help inform your path?
I had always been interested in attending law school following the completion of my degree in social science, so I believe that it helped lay the foundation for my future aspirations, while providing me with a diverse knowledge base. My degree in social science allowed me the opportunity to think critically about issues that matter the most to me, especially international politics and Middle Eastern policy.
What is your favorite memory or spot on campus?
It’s hard to choose just one of either, but I think my favorite memories all involve friends that I met my very first semester during the summer of 2018 and living in Deviney Hall fall semester of freshman year. During that time, I made some lifelong friends. Specifically, I thoroughly enjoyed watching us beat UM at the end of this past football season. As for spots on campus, I love the environment of a night game at Doak. I also like the tennis courts and Landis!
