Graduate Student Spotlight: Misun Lee from the Department of Public Administration

What department are you a graduate student in?

The Reubin O’D. Askew School of Public Administration and Policy. Specifically, I am majoring in Public Administration.

Why did you decide to go to graduate school?

While working in the local government, I found out some academic questions such as policy implementation or malfunction. In the beginning, I took online courses while working. However, I would like to put more time to study it as time went by. Thus, I applied for a doctoral program and am studying all day!

Did your interests change throughout your program?

Sure. Although I am interested in human resource management policy in my doctoral program, specific interest is changing such as from stress mechanism to telework. I think it has a good thing since this change makes dynamic of my research areas.

What do you want to do with your advanced degree?

I would like to get a faculty job since I enjoy my research and time to discuss with students.
