What is your major and why did you choose it?

I’m majoring in Political Science with a minor in History. I’ve been passionate about civics, political issues, and the legislative process for quite some time. While broad and complicated, it’s an area I enjoy studying and learning more about every day. It’s an added benefit that I’m earning college credit while I do so.

What do you want to do with your major after graduation?

I’m planning to attend law school, and fully intend to include the FSU College of Law in my list of applications. I have experience interning at a successful lobby firm in Tallahassee and plan to further involve myself in the legislative process. Earning a JD will help in my future career ambitions, and I believe law school will benefit my overall understanding and ability to solve the problems of tomorrow.

What is your favorite thing about being a COSSPP student?

The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy has exceeded my expectations in terms of curriculum, advising, and general helpfulness no matter the problem. Faculty have assisted me personally in my transition after graduating high school with my AA, preparing for the LSAT and applying to law school, and considering my academic and career options for the future. Therefore, my favorite thing about the college definitely has to be its courteous and incredibly helpful faculty.
