What is your major and why did you choose it?
My major is political science. I chose this major to develop my knowledge of the political landscape in our country that needs more young people to take charge, correct the wrongdoings of past generations, and fix the issues that continue to plague our planet today. My interests started in criminal justice due to the pandemic and all of the political uproar from the nation healing from police brutality and COVID. However, I then took an interest in politics and knew that it was what I really wanted to learn more about.
What do you want to do with your major after graduation?
After graduation I would like to work as public relations representative for either a government agency. As I am a double major in public relations, I think that this combination of degrees will allow me to succeed in the job market.
What is your favorite thing about being a COSSPP student?
My favorite thing about being a COSSPP student is the exclusivity of the advising services provided to students. I really enjoy using the advising portal to get all the help I need, from choosing classes, to tutoring — they have it all. All the advisors I have had thus far have been extremely kind and helpful in every way possible and I am so thankful to the staff that all work so hard to keep everyone informed and on track for their next steps.

David Salpeter is COSSPP student majoring in Political Science.
