What have you been up to since you graduated? (Applying to/attending graduate school, working a job, etc.)
I graduated with a B.A. in International Affairs in Spring 2021. I have been working full time now at the Office of the Attorney General of Florida here in Tallahassee. I like my job because I get to learn new useful things every day. I have to be versatile and deal with things from Medicaid Fraud, Lemon Law, civil law cases, fraudulent activities and scams.
I have also started the process to get hired with the US State Department’s Consular Fellows Program. It is a 5 year non-limited appointment to work in a US consulate abroad. I passed the first entrance exam, and now I have left the oral proficiency exam for Spanish and then the final qualifications evaluations panel interview in DC.
How did your degree in social science help inform your path?
My degree in International Affairs helped me to be a well balanced individual. International Affairs having many different concentrations and subject areas to study from makes you a well-rounded and versatile person. I learned things that I use and apply every day in my current job and future ones.
What is your favorite memory or spot on campus?
The friendships I made and all the activities I did here while at FSU are my favorite memories. My favorite spot on campus is the Westcott Fountain.
